High Definition imaging and 3d Laser Scanning in London - 3D laser scanning is the fast acquisition of measured 3D-coordinated (XYZ) point data. We collect this using a 3D laser scanner on an object to create a point cloud.

3D laser scanners enable us to provide architects and engineers with dense, clear data. They are a powerful and efficient tool for capturing highly accurate and detailed data about a building’s structure and layout. we use Faro laser scanners to create pointclouds of a building’s interior and exterior, providing architects and engineers with the information they need to design, renovate and maintain buildings with precision and accuracy. We can provide a point cloud only or create CAD drawings from the pointcloud ready to use.

One of the main advantages of using 3D laser scanning is the high level of accuracy and detail that is achieved. These services can capture detailed data to within millimeters, making it possible to create highly accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of a building’s structure and layout. This level of accuracy is essential for many applications, such as architectural design, building maintenance, and renovations.

Another advantage of using 3D laser scanning is their ability to capture large amounts of data quickly and efficiently. A laser scanner can scan a building’s interior and exterior in a matter of hours, allowing us surveyors to collect a vast amount of data in a relatively short period of time. This can be particularly useful for large or complex buildings, such as factories, schools or hospitals.

3D laser scanning surveys also provide architects and engineers with the ability to create detailed and accurate as-built documentation of a building, which can be helpful for building information modeling (BIM) or other digital documentation projects. The data collected from laser scanning can be used to create accurate 2D or 3D models of a building’s structure, layout, and features, which can be used for architectural, mechanical, and electrical design, as well as for estimating and construction planning.

In addition, 3D laser scanning and point cloud surveys can also be used to create detailed and accurate models of objects that are too large or heavy to be moved to a studio. This can be particularly useful for creating sets that depict outdoor locations, such as parks, beaches, or mountains.

We can start your projects and help you get to the next level, by creating accurate and detailed digital representations of the built environment. Using Leica laser scanners to deliver the right balance of speed and accuracy on a job site.
